Nike's M2K Tekno Is Available Right Now
Inspired by the original Nike Monarch but featuring an overhaul of contemporary design, the Nike M2K Tekno plans to be the next big hit. It’s not just a dad trainer, it’s a step in a new direction by Nike while still staying innovative and fresh. The sneaker has already been welcomed with warm arms (feet) with it first debuting on the runway for John Elliott.
With a current want and need of chunky sneakers this certainly slots right into the mould to take on the likes of Balenciaga’s Triple S, adidas Yeezy Wave Runner 700’s and 500’s as well as anything New Balance puts out, specifically their 900 series. The Tekno is a modified approach to the iconic Monarch IV bringing a sexy streetwear appeal as well as keeping a core element of comfort. The heavily cushioned midsole bounces with each step and the leather uppers allow for a more high end aesthetic.
The M2K Tekno recently dropped on Nike’s online webstore retailing for $180 NZD in white/grey, black/white and peach/white - all feature a minimal colourway allowing for open interpretation for the wearer.
