'The International' Is A Luxury Collaborative Project

A luxury apartment complex in the heart of Auckland, The International - will be complete before the year is up. The new complex will not be your average building, it's a project that's brought together some of New Zealand's finest creatives and companies who are on a mission to introduce a new way of urban living. The complex has been developed by Sanctuary Group, who have enlisted the help of Jasmax to architect the building, Rufus Knight for interior design and Studio South for graphics and branding.

The building boasts many leisurely amenities such as a heated swimming pool with cabanas, a lavish Japanese Garden, private dining facilities catered by Pondarosa Group (Seafarers, Ostro, Ebisu), an in-house cinema and a library, to name a few. Residents of The International will surely enjoy the premium lifestyle. The creative minds working on this building is what makes it truly exceptional; collaborating to develop and further the traditional apartment building and sequentially, progressing the way we live. The International will be a testament to the advancing standards of New Zealand design.

Jasmax took the original frame of the 1980's building and applied a white exoskeleton shell creating an airy open space employing efficient design. Rufus Knight developed the interiors, bringing his simple and neutral style to generously open spaces while introducing a luxurious feel. Materials such as natural stone and timber were chosen for their beauty and durability, allowing spaces to grow with age and live harmoniously within their surroundings. Each individual space has been crafted around astonishing views, creating living spaces that are simply unmatched in New Zealand.

Studio South have put their signature touch into the brand identity, producing a marketing package that compliments the beauty of this building. Showcased through a range of assets; which include brochures, stationery, business cards and a logo that is slim yet structured, referencing the unique exterior of the building and creating a minimal feel.

Minimalistic and timeless design was at the heart of this project allowing all creative fields to thrive in working hand-in-hand.
