I Love Ugly presents its debut collection for 2018 entitled ‘Parnell’. The Parnell Collection is inspired and named after one of Auckland's most historic suburbs, Parnell, which was once one of the largest textile quarters in New Zealand.

The Parnell Collection pays tribute to the historic rich red-brick of the suburb’s Edwardian architecture, juxtaposed with the elegant cast-concrete and glass facades of its contemporary commercial office blocks - containing bright pockets of graphic-intense cafes. Photographed at the ILU creative team’s favourite Parnell eatery Simon&Lee, the Parnell Collection Editorial embodies the brand’s passion for contemporary cuisine, modernist graphic design, and mid-century inspired interior design – captured in I Love Ugly’s hometown Auckland, New Zealand.

Designed as a small cross-seasonal capsule collection the Parnell Collection offers essentials fit for both the Southern Hemispheres summer and Northern Hemisphere winter through a rich palette of steel blues, bright brick, and warm bourbon.

The Parnell Collection introduces new styles that include the oversized Wallace Hood range, the much anticipated Wallace Messenger Bag, and the custom-rib Neck Logo Tee. Fusing bold graphic design elements with a clean, sophisticated aesthetic the Parnell Collection also sees the reintroduction of core pieces such as the Slim Kobe, Mid Rise Zespy, Porter Cap, and more.

The Parnell Collection kick-starts 2018 – a milestone year for the New Zealand menswear brand, set to celebrate their 10 Year Anniversary later this year. The Parnell Collection will be available online at iloveugly.com on February 8, and in I Love Ugly Flagship Stores February 9.
